I found my birth certificate and DD214 ,but not before going through a small mountain of old crap I no longer have a single reason to keep. Strange it was in the very first place I was going to look, but I thought, TOO OBVIOUS so I spent about 3 hours going through old documents that are now destined for the recycling program locally..Next time I'm looking in the most obvious place first.. Yeah right, huh?
Great that you found what you sought,but its' always in the last place you look....
I was hopeful when clicking the thread you had found something of more significance, like the "fountain of youth." Damnit!

Strange coincidence. I was going through old paperwork this weekend and found the same things.
