He would be the 2nd best receiver on the team if signed. But he wont be because they already got LaFell

Shame the Bengals immediately settled for LaFell. There were a lot of good affordable WR choices in this FA period that I liked a lot more.
It seems you undervalue what Lafell did for this team last year and overvaliue some of these so called affordable FA receivers. I believe the Bengals did exactly what they should have done

Well, before we drafted guys like John Ross and Josh Malone, Decker would have been a welcome upgrade to our WR corps. In my opinion, it seems like the Jets did Decker dirty by holding onto him until this point. He likely could have gotten a much better deal for himself, had he been available during the high activity portion of free agency. When he's healthy, dudes guaranteed stats. I had him on my fantasy team in '15, even with Fitzpatrick at QB, he had really nice numbers.
My opinion Decker was never on Bengals radar..
1st: Lafell had a solid season played hurt... was a total professional... Bengals wanted him back and signed a fair early contract
2nd: If Decker was released early.. he probably would have wanted more $$.. Bengals would have passed anyway
3rd: Bengals wanted to add speed to this lineup... Decker did not add that.
I don't think we need anymore WRs right now. If it was last year I would have been all for picking him up.
We have a guy named John Ross...
