They may IR Hopkins and use that spot although we are going to have to bring somebody up for line depth at this point

I could see that actually being the move, and then Hopkins goes to IR and they bring up some kid from the PS to replace him and that allows Nickerson to go to the squad.
and that someone is the only one that can't be traded or fired!!
Hopkins will probably go to IR...which begs the question why we aren't looking into FA for more linemen...especially after that WONDERFUL performance.

This is a good point. Most teams don't have good starting quality OL sitting on the bench, let alone those that are currently on the street.
Unfortunately due to the stubbornness and arrogance of the Bengals FO (and coaches?), the Bengals will ride or die with this OL this year.
