There was zero conclusive evidence that the ball did not go forward as was called on the field.
In reality, it probably did go at least parallel to the line, i.e. a fumble. But there was one frame by frame they showed that actually looked like the ball crossed the hash at the 26, which would only be possible if it was going forward. Had they called it Brown's ball on the field, that same glimpse still would not prove that it went forward, so that call would have stood as well.

The Bengals have caught some nice breaks with the refs today.
Man, I feel bad for the Browns in the same way that I feel bad for my Pomeranian when the St Bernard tries to screw it. Both are extremely difficult to watch.
