If you recall Boyd had some drug charges around his neck stemming from a car accident last summer. He claimed that a friend had borrowed the car and they weren't his. Apparently, the judge believed him or evidence couldn't prove ownership, because the charges have been dismissed. Score one for the Cris Carter, find-a-fall guy criminal defense method
Great news, thanks Pally. This pretty much destroyed his sophomore year.
Boyd can be smooth as silk on his routes and has great hands. Still have lots of hope for him in the Slot. Housh type.
He is also very versatile like Mo was for us, he can play QB and RB and he can return Punts.

Apparently he had some issues last year with his attitude and effort.
But you are right about all you said - both in his first year and the last couple of games of the season.
Hopefully the drug thing was a distraction and he continues to grow. I'm very high on him as a player.

He definately has more upside than Lafell, that is for sure.
Surprised Boyd has never been used as a trick player, he fits this mold more than Ross does as Zamp was trying to use him.
Ross is a Receiver, use him as such. Boyd can do a lot of the other stuff and would help make our Offense less predictable.
Use him like we used Mo Sanu and the way the Falcons use him now.

The knock on Boyd is definately his speed and explosiveness, i like Kirk okay but i like a guy like Anthony Miller out of Memphis
better. Smaller school guy so he probably won't go very early but he is one hell of a player.
The O-line needs to taken care of before we start talking about Receiver though, this is the must.

Pass on drafting Kirk. It's taken long enough to get Boyd involved in the big play machine. We certainly don't need to start over with someone Andy isn't even acquainted with.
