How much difference is there between "smothered" and "chocked"?

Extremely good question Fred. But the difference is much larger than you would think?

Smothered, as you see in the pic, is with cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack and bacon bits covering it it.

Chocked would just be rubber, steel or wooden fixtures placed on each side of the chicken to keep it from rolling into the side of the baking dish.
