So I'm finally watching the first preseason game, and I can't help but notice that the digits for the 50 yard line are yellow. Anyone know what the hell that's all about?

Related note: Why do Steelers fans say it's gold when it's clearly yellow? There's no metallic property to make it gold.

Fun fact: on the NFL.com schedules, SB rematches have gold lettering & "Tickets" buttons; not white! So, on the Bengals schedule "49er's" is GOLD!
Ok, it's not REALLY a "fun fact", or even all that interesting. But the NFL is really pushing the gold angle.
