I went back and replayed it. Ref motioned that he bobbled the ball.
That looked like it was on Williams. He had the buzz zone underneath and didn’t play it aggressively enough.

I'm not excusing the throw, but Ross was slow to react to defending the pass. He had inside leverage and could've gotten his body in between the ball and the CB.
No QB throws 100% of balls on target, but you have to know that your WR will be in position to either come down with the ball or defend it when he is in the area.
Is Kirkpatrick still elite?
