Am I correct that we ran a Big Nickel as our base D throughout the first quarter?

Someone should've told Austin the game was in NO today.

there's a benefit with the saints scoring quickly... our D wont get exhausted Big Grin

Or a new profession...
We are actually blitzing. Surprising.

All we need to do is execute.

It was. In real time, 33 minutes. Extrapolated, only a 2 hour 12 minute + 15 minute halftime = ~2.5 hour game.
You'd think tackling would be a point of emphasis in preparation for the Saints. Austin might predicate his scheme on turnovers, but that doesn't help much when you play a quarterback that almost never turns it over. You're going to have to stop this team straight up.
I am not a big fan of Austin but Fej needs to tackle and Evans needs to be disciplined in his pursuit. That’s just players screwing up basic assignments. DC can’t do squat about that

Brees is one of the most accurate QBs alive, we better actually get to him, the hurries don't affect this guy lol.
The Saints will move the ball the Bengals need to force field goals inside their 40 and hope for turnovers.
My leaves need raking
7 to 7 after 1st Quarter. So far, so good.
No defensive scheme in sight

Ditto, I had hoped this game was out of hand already.
Who TF is giving these dudes these first downs
Brown just let Kamara run to the first down.

Sure looked like it

The good news is that NO is like 23rd in the league in redzone scoring so it IS doable

Incompetent DC combined with bad players and good players poorly coached. The result is pretty obvious.

Is this some kind of euphemism?  Pervert
