This is a pretty big concern to me, and it's a little odd.
My biggest question is, since Marvin didn't know the right button to talk to the players, does that mean he's never used headsets to talk to players before? It gives his coorindators more reign; but it's weird to have a head coach not know the headset button to talk to his players.
Does he have a grandson that knows how to work gadgets? Kids are great at that. Maybe keep him on the sidelines just in case.
To be fair.....Son of Paul probably only sprung for the updated headsets this year.

I mean, his son was on the team, but he's long gone.

How bad is it when your own son quits yer ass? His players have quit him, so what the hell.
Ineptitude, sums up this coaching staff

It was just found out not too long ago, but not really sure the reason why

Blows me away how you can be a 16 year veteran head coach and not know the button to push to talk to players

Yeah, he found a set of used ones on ebay.

I assumed this was going to be a topic made in jest based on the title. It seems I was mistaken.

Yep. Last year they were still using 2 soup cans tied together by a piece of string. It was how Mikey could afford to get the oil changed regularly in the Lumina

Were there a thousand buttons on it? Seems to me if you just kept pushing buttons, you would probably eventually stumble onto it.

I can hear it now. "Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now?"

And that was in the third quarter.
Now imagine him trying to figure out the Chiefs.
Yeah, I'm sure that everyone on here, after doing things the exact same way for 16 years, would just magically not be in the habit of hitting a certain button. Of all the things to complain about.....

It doesn't surprise me that he didn't know before taking over. However, this is the kind of thing he should have taken a few minutes during the week to get figured out instead of letting it ride until game day and stumbling through it.

Maybe they could help him with clock management as well.
The Bengals are in win now mode. Think about that.

Speaking of clocks I bet his are always flashing 12:00 after power outages.
