Looks like 3 6th round picks.

I admittedly completely forgot about Chris Smith. Looks like he didn't do much in Cleveland (yet).
But three 6th round comp picks were projected back right after the draft happened in 2018, so it's really not something unexpected.
The Bengals better package up some of those Rd 5-7 picks to get back into the upper rounds, as 10+ rookies are not making the roster, especially not that many late-rounders.
If we draft a TE earlier, this looks like the place to draft a second one.

I think the Bengals could really get a boost if they can get an extra pick or two in the first three rounds.
My crazy theory-craft idea...
Trade back from 11 to around 18 and pick up an extra 2nd rounder.
Trade all five 6th round picks (regular 6th rounder, Bene Benwikere trade, and 3 comp picks) + 4th round to get an extra pick in 3rd round

Result would be:
Mid 1st rounder
Early and mid 2nd rounder
Two 3rd rounders

I'm only advocating the trade-back part if Bengals don't have an elite prospect worth it at 11.

They could also trade one of the 2nd rounders + one of the 3rd rounders to get back into the 1st round toward the end of the round.
If that happened...
Mid and late 1st rounder
2nd rounder
3rd rounder

That's the thing with the whole comp pick fantasy they operate on and have tried to sell the last several years.

How many of them have had any real impact on this team ? 1 or 2 ?

Depending on your definition of "real impact," these are the following since 2003 who have been even remotely relevant:
2004 - Landon Johnson (Pick 33 in Rd 3)
2007 - Chinedum Ndukwe (Pick 43 in Rd 7)
2008 - Andre Caldwell (Pick 34 in Rd 3)
2009 - Bernard Scott (Pick 36 in Rd 6)
2013 - TJ Johnson (Pick 45 in Rd 7)
2018 - Darius Phillips (Pick 33 in Rd 5)

SO ultimately, there have been some players who had some playing time, but none became solid long-term starter quality.

That's what I'm talking about.
Can we just call comp picks what they are? Scraps for Orgs that are too incompetent to actually compete in FA.
