We have a bunch of contracts coming off the books. The Bengals will have plenty of cash to go around, but this being a big front loaded deal is still just fantastic news.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but since this is a contract extension, this means we have him for 5 years, $70 million total now. I don't think that's too crazy for a player of his caliber. Good deal on both ends, I'd say.

He was under contract for 10 million in 2015, so I would say he is getting 70 million over 5 years.
Of course, they can structure it for more to hit the cap in 2015, thus reducing the cap hit in years 2-5 of the contract
