I will say that when Marvin took over the defense last year, he had them playing a helluva lot better than Austin. So there is that.
It was almost like the guys intentionally tried to play bad under Austin. I know that's likely not the case, but it was that bad.
Some of it had to be years in the same scheme and then all of the sudden switching to a new scheme that they didn't understand.

Austin put extra emphasis on protecting the boundary and the big play down the sideline leaving the inside alot more unprotected. It's a reason why not only did the linebackers look better when Marvin took over but so did Dennard.
Well we haven't heard Michael Hodges being blocked so I assume the interview will be happening.
Here's a good quote about Hodges.
Quote:Then-A&M linebacker Von Miller, a future Super Bowl MVP, once described Hodges as his "conscience" while both still played for the Aggies.
"Whenever I'm on the field or at home watching film, I always hear that Michael Hodges voice," Miller once said. "My conscience is narrated by Michael Hodges – it sounds just like him. When we're on the field – and this is bad – half the time I don't even look for the signal (from the sidelines).
"I just look to Michael Hodges, and ask him for the call."
