Close, I usually just used the .22. Takes a well aimed shot, as their brain is pretty small, but it keeps the noise down from attracting nosy neighbors. However, one time I did use a 12 GA slug. The entire head blew up like a smashed watermelon. Between the mess and the loud boom that comes with the 12 GA, what a commotion that caused in the neighborhood..
