Scooter has a grow-in strain, out 2-3 months. That Iglesias signing is paying off already. Bell says Peraza moving to 2B and Iglesias will start at SS.

Feel bad for Scooter. Finally comes into his own and last year, the shoulder and now this. Not saying he's irreplaceable but the loss will be felt.
Iglesias-Peraza is a huge downgrade offensively from Peraza-Gennett.

It basically offsets the Puig addition, and now the entire improvemrnt on offense from 2018 will have to be Senzel over Hamilton in CF. (And Votto being back to Votto )

Not sure if that is enough to push the 2018 offense (which was league average) into a playoff offense.
It will upgrade defensive infield but proves to be costly.
Injuries seem to hurt the Reds lately. I have a feeling the Reds will not re-sign Scooter. Too bad.
I still have a hunch this is how Senzel breaks into the big leagues eventually. It certainly wouldn't be the first time a young up and comer made it to the bigs via an injury.  It's a book yet to be written though.
This is like a kick in the nuts. This is the first year in forever that i was excited about the reds and we lose one of our biggest stars before the season even starts.
