Full Version: Buildin' a firepit

Used 20 gauge galvanized steel. Started with 16ga but returned it after seeing how tough it was to cut.
Used 1/4" wonderboard lite cement board. Still need to order rest of parts and get the gas meter upgraded and plumbing run.

Nice :andy:
Dang. You must have a lot of garbage to burn.

My neighbor used to burn his garbage, smelled putrid during that time, not sure that was legal, lol.

Got the speakers installed in the ceiling; sound pretty good for cheap (outdoor speaker depot). Two for $99. Hooked up to the cheapest Onkyo receiver I could find at Best Buy.

Putrid like a skunk?

Hmm

Then definitively not legal.
I am joking around a lot in this thread, but that is really a cool project.
I have a firepit elsewhere but it gets used rarely, too much soot! Yes, this will be a gas line. The sparks from a real firepit would set the deck on fire lol.

Ordered the burner/parts today, will be a couple weeks until that's in.

That's a nice looking paver patio/fire pit area, on a raised bed.  Was that also a DIY project?

Looks like shit. I'll give you $20 for it. Ninja

That putting green looks like shit too. I'll give you 20 bucks for that too just cause I'm a nice guy and trying to help you out.

Nope, I had a landscaper do that one. Actually, the deck is now sitting on the first patio. That picture is 8 years old I think. My yard looked better when it wasn't a cluttered mess that I've made it lol.

Still a work in progress, no railing yet.

Added a 15ft long wall as a part of the deck design, because my neighbor's a dick, basically.

Haha. I think it was $15/square foot, I don't remember anymore. I wasn't that good with money in my younger years, argh.
