I bet a lot of that is ultra-effective play-action against a defense that is getting gashed in the run game. Our DBs aren't great but I don't think they're close to as bad as our front 7.

That and our LBers can't cover RBs or TEs worth a damn.
The low amount of sacks and interceptions is the real story on this. It's pathetic.
Carl Lawson has had 2 sacks over the past 2 years (12 games played).

Dunlap has 1 sack this year.

Hubbard has 3 sacks this year.
There is no imagination with this defense. We lack athletic linebackers. Vanilla defense, bend but don't break
This defense reminds me a lot of the '76 steeler defense or the 2000 ravens D.
This is basically the 3rd worst defense in history!

I can see that, but I was thinking more '85 Bears.

Bengals are useing the exact same  "11 players at a time" scheme that those legands did.
