He'd be ok to add.
He'd make more sense at RG and then have XSF play LG.
That also would allow Jordan to compete with XSF and then Price/Redmond (or draft pick) compete with Person.

Totally on board with his versatility. If one of the pups develop and Person starts, is having XSF on the bench with a 3+M such a bad thing? Person has tackle experience as well if Hart takes a step back or Williams is hurt.
He would be a perfect add for the Bengals. A slight upgrade in talent, 61.8 PFF grade in 937 snaps played, only surrendered two penalties and one sack. Plus he had 3 starts in the playoffs, on a great OL. Low cost, as he had just signed a 3 yr/$9M deal in 2019.
49ers must really be up against the wall on cap, if they're cutting a solid depth guy like Person.

Nope. That's perfect backup money.
Mike Person also ran a similar outside zone scheme for the Niners that they want to in Cincy so it is a fit.

Niners running game was brutally efficient.

I know there needs to be balance in the force, but having a LG that can pass block, a RG that can run block and neither ger lost in the other and I'm happy.

They also relied on a FB, proving the position is not dead after all.
Yeah, I like this Person more and more. Bring him in.
It seems pretty weird that a team coming off a SB appearance would drop their starting RG. I don't know their cap situation or if they have a young talent ready to take the reigns but I'd have to think that's a sign that maybe they've got all they can get out of him.
We need all the depth we can get so I wouldn't mind bringing him in but just like Su'a-Filo, we can't expect this guy to be a fix.

I believe he was replacing the regular starter who got hurt.
