This is the time get guys like Mixon locked up and ready to play while we have our QB on a rookie deal.

Exactly correct.

Yes, Bob nailed it.
Just need to keep these guys healthy. Yes

I think were doing well. It's like we've become an NFL team. Good God don't let their be injuries tomorrow. I forgot what year it was, but remember when we had several players go down first game? Killed the damn season. Maybe 2016?
Mixon: 4 years, $48 mil
Cook: 5 years, $62.5 mil
Kamara: 5 years, $75 mil

That deal looks better every day.

And we have a 5th year option. I think it is a good deal, we will see just how good if he is used in the passing game more which is
what I expect with Burrow now here.
Not an ideal start to the contract.

I know the OL is bad, but the 8th highest paid RB should be able to do better than 19 carries/69 yards (3.6 YPC), 0 TD/1 Fumble Lost ... 1 catch, 2 yards receiving. There are guys sitting on PS or on couches who can do that for league minimum.
Mixon ran well today

He averaged 3.6 yards a carry.  No TD's.

His fumbled resulted in a field goal, which was the difference in the game.

Not a good day at all for Joe.

Truth

This is terribly concerning IMHO.

If you're going to get paid elite money you have to be able to be a strong threat in the pass game if you're not posting 1,400+ yard, 12+ TD's seasons.
Burrow was nervous in first half you could tell.
