Word is he expressed frustration with the staff, and he removed the Bengals from his Instagram bio.

The Bengals need to find out if he's worth keeping around for the last 1-2 years of his contract.

Geno wants to play MORE not LESS.

Maybe Dunlap is listening to Geno too much. Maybe Geno is his own man, with his own issues, and isn't listening to anyone. Maybe being frustrated isn't the same as being a diva. Maybe all of this is blown completely out of proportion.
We don't know anything other than a few reports/rumors. I don't think we can speculate on Geno's motivations.

(10-20-2020, 01:44 PM)Sled21 Wrote: [ -> ]So don't speculate. He said he wants more snaps.... so give them to him. All of them. If his shoulder doesn't hold, then that's on him.
(10-20-2020, 01:44 PM)fredtoast Wrote: [ -> ]How do you know this?
It was a shoulder injury. There is no reason he could not have kept his cardio fitness at a top level while out with a shoulder injury.
So how do you know he isn't ready to play 60%-70% of the snaps?
Just because ZAC TAYLOR says he isn't?
(10-20-2020, 01:46 PM)Sled21 Wrote: [ -> ]No, smart guy. There are medical staff and trainers. The smart move is to let him play 20-25%, evaluate, move him to 30-35%, evaluate, etc. Instead of just giving him the full load at the beginning then finding out when you lose him for the season he was not ready. I don't know why easing an injured player back into the lineup is only a bad thing when the Bengals do it.

Basically, he needs to maintain 0.5 sacks per game average. He was higher than that average in 2015-2018 but he did not average that last year.
He's set to be paid $14.8 mill in 2021 and $16 mill in 2022.

(10-20-2020, 01:57 PM)fredtoast Wrote: [ -> ]He has only played a total of 37 snaps. Without breaking down the film I have no idea how many plays he has made a difference on, but it is hard to make much of an impact in just 37 snaps. The best DT in the league, Aaron Donald, is only getting 1 sack every 45 snaps (7.5 in 339)
