Full Version: Does Boyd limit the WR options (or even inflate guys like Chase?)

Half of the top 10 WR prospects are true slot guys. If the right value falls or they justify BPA for a trade back...would they play Boyd outside? His best position is slot, but this class really limits your options. Does that make a guy like Chase, Marshall Jr. or even Nico Collins more valuable?

It really doesn't limit your options any more than if you take Chase in round 1 and try to come back for one of the 3rd tier OTs in round 2.

I don't think the whole slot/outside argument is that valid with a team that runs 3-4-5 WR sets.  There are guys that can score and create mismatches from anywhere on the field.
Having multiple good slot players would be a good thing - especially if some of the receivers can multitask for some of the kind of a run but not really plays. There's no law against lining up in 10 or 01 personnel.
