I know where I place it, but what do you guys think about Dixie Chili there in Newport?
I must be strange when it comes to Cincinnati chili by not having overly strong opinions. I pretty much view it as Skyline = Gold Star = Blue Ash Chili = Insert Name of Some Other Chili Place. I enjoy it all and miss not living in the region to have it when I want.

I stopped there once this season with my roommate. It was not the same as chili I remembered from a few years back. I can only describe it as watery.

I’ve got a pretty good recipe, sort of a hybrid. It is a little involved. I use ground turkey with a method of mi invention to make it like hamburger meat, for instance.
From the experience I learned to add cinnamon and cocoa to other chiles, and taco seasoning.
