Any fans of them blues here? You know Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, BB King, Howlin' Wolf etc.
Well we might as well start at the very beginning, yes the blues was old before 1920 but this is considered to be the first blues on record by history buffs like myself.

As we all know this music influensed Jimmie Rodgers, The Carter Family who influensed.....and so it went the evolution of Big Band, Country, Rock and Roll all can be traced back to those southern cotton fields.
No no not just a bunch of old timey music, a nice mix of old and new.

Always considered a lot of Zeppelin to be Blues like.

Buddy Guy. Jimi Hendrix. Both blues cats.
Don't listen to the old stuff, but love the blues.
I've seen some great blues players in Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Clapton, etc. There's "the blues" and then there are guys who take it to another level. Some really great modern blues players. The one I'm sad about not getting to ever see is BB. I had a few chances, something always came up and then he died and the opportunity was gone. As a guitarist I massively appreciate good blues and how much of a foundation it's been for so much other modern music.

I'm a huge fan of the blues! Lightnin' Hopkins is prob my fav blues man of all time.
