We haven't talked about him, but it did look like that Cam Sample played one of the best games of his career

Highest lineman was a 58.9? Ouch.

I had the same reaction

Yikes, and I thought as a group that they looked much better previous games.
Not really relevant. But I wanted to post this somewhere. Logan Wilson ran a long way on his pick starting at the line of scrimmage.

We got lucky, he needs to hold onto the ball.....
PFF is weird with OL and always has been.

Yes I'm always concerned after a turnover that we need to protect the ball. At least some explanation for it as I'm sure he was tired. Heads up play by Flowers to get back on it and I think he's been yet another very good acquisition even with limited snaps.

LB is actually the position I seem to always question their grades at the most. I’m curious what they gave ADG for yesterday. I thought he played really well.

Agreed, but Goodberry did not announce he is unbeknownst to the skillset of 2 hands on the bawl lol

I'd say Mixon is not doing the run blocking numbers any favors.
I would be interested in seeing their grades for Wilson and Chase

Chase did not play well but did catch a TD.

Chase had a 53, Wilson had a 50.

ADG?

He had a 72.6.

Thanks.
Perine needs more reps.

Each OL:

Williams - 54.2 overall, 66.6 pass block, 41.8 run block, 0 penalties

Volson - 50.1 overall, 54.1 pass block, 49.2 run block, 1 penalty

Karras - 58.9 overall, 50.2 pass block, 60.4 run block, 0 penalties

Cappa - 58.5 overall, 70.4 pass block, 52.8 run block, 0 penalties

Collins - 50.6 overall, 40.3 pass block, 54.8 run block, 0 penalties

So Cappa and Williams were good pass blocking, the rest were bad.
Everyone was bad run blocking.
Volson was rating as the worst OL yesterday, followed very closely by Collins.
And we have another classic case of PFF ratings not aligning with what we actually saw or the actual game results. This is the problem with "secret sauce" synthetic ratings - we do not know the exact formula so we cannot tell why they rated like they did.
I would've thought the oline would've graded a little higher yesterday. I feel like they lose they're initial blocks a lot but he then keep fighting and maintain the block. Saw it a lot yesterday where burrow had a messy pocket and started getting a little antsy but everybody maintained they're blocks. Not sure if that kind of stuff affects scores.
