Then putting Hill in the backfield a lot is a new wrinkle. They are pulling out a lot of new things tonight. Will be interested to see how things go after the scripted plays end.
I mean....what else do you want?

This is a good start
No TD in 21 drives Hobs will say.
Thought we were tied there.. Fins O looks good..
With the exception of the drop in the end zone, it looks like all crossing routes from MIA so far

They were awful last week too?
Miami receivers are wide open, playing to far back off line of scrimmage

Us holding them to 3 here means nothing if we dont punish them for not going for it.

Need another TD to put pressure on these boys

Anyone would look good with no pressure and wide ass open receivers

You solve that by taking away the middle of the field. It forces them into longer developing plays. That series the D looked schematically bad.
It's a treat to have Al Michaels call a game

I feel like we have a tendency to start off bad and then settle down. Hopefully that's the case today and we only gave up 3 instead of 7.

Fixed it for ya
I’d drop 7 in a short zone. They’re not going to have time to blitz.

That is exactly what I was thinking

If it stays that way then there is a problem but you have to give them a chance to adjust.
Currently the Bengals are playing a lot of zone rather than their usual cover 1 man. Seems like they are trying to limit the backends exposure to one on one match ups with Hill and Waddle. Curious if that’s an early look that will change or the plan for the night.
Mixon wasn’t good last week, but these announcers are acting like he hasn’t had a good game since the Ford Administration

It was weird to watch. I didn’t expect them to match right down the field. Lucky they held them to 3.
First touchdown dance of the year, four games in!
