It will be interesting to see if that vibe can be maintained as these teams start to compete for success. The two fan bases have a lot in common - small market teams with fan bases that are built on love for the community and team rather than the reflected glory of established success.
The future will hopefully bring a lot of high stakes games between our teams and that will be the test. Fan bases can also change as a success brings a new group of fans to the team. Some of these bandwagon jumpers think that the success of their team says something about them personally when all they did was buy a jersey. Don't be that guy. Don't tolerate that guy.
I suspect that's what happened to KC. I don't remember them being so horrible back when we upset them in the '00s.
