Sounds about right to me. The yearly value of that would be $51MM but I am sure it'll be structured in a way that isn't as burdensome as that sounds.

I'm very far from a contract expert but this guy is supposed to be.

He's a contract lawyer (not sure what that means; a lawyer that specialises in contracts?), but anything he tweets is typically good stuff: nice guy, intelligent and like you said, knows his stuff.

I'm not a contract expert, but this indeed sounds right.

When I read the Thread Title, I assumed the OP was talking about Jessie Bates. I was quite shocked by those numbers. Then i reread and seen Burrow and realized that makes more sense.

Burrow will have his agent do the negotiating because Burrow doesn't seem like a negotiator. He'll probably accept whatever his agent agrees to. The guys in the business pretty much know what Burrow is worth.
