Just imagine how comfortable Joe Burrow could be by jumping out to a 2 score lead, and then just handing off to Henry to play keep away from the opposing offense?
Please no. I’d rather keep our guys and draft a rb. He will still want big money and I think he’s already starting to decline.

I can't see them paying King Henry type money for a running back when one can be had in the draft. They need to upgrade the line some more, then Perine could do just fine.

It's an interesting thought and Vegas is usually pretty spot-on with their odds, no matter how unrealistic they seem, so I feel pretty confident that we're a top contender to trade for him.
I don't know what we'd be willing to give up in a trade but maybe if they let him go or we can trade a mid-or-late round draft pick for him. If we trade him after June 10th, we free up 10 million, and Henry only receives, what, 9(?) a year when you don't include his signing bonus, and you'd have to think that he'd re-sign for less.
I like Mixon, but, with all that trouble and a player like Henry available, I'd try to get him.
Or just hope that he gets cut.
I am not sure I am a fan of this move. He will be expensive, 29 years old with 1,750 carries on his resume to go along with a foot injury. Don't get me wrong, he has largely been fantastic. I'm just not sure he is the guy that Cincinnati needs. I'd prefer a smaller, shiftier back who can catch and make things happen in space and provide value pass blocking. Henry is a better blocker than Mixon, but the rest of that doesn't really describe him.
It would depend on the price, but I would probably pass on the move personally.

I'm not talking about signing him to a 5 year deal, just give the Titans a late round pick and pay Henry his salary this year. It's called a one-year rental, it'll put the Bengals over the top to get that Super Bowl win. Move makes even more sense when you consider that they're likely letting 2-3 defensive starters walk. Offense is going to have to be able to put up a lead, and then just sit on the ball to keep the young defense fresh.

Well I could only glean do much info from the link. I didn’t see how much money or how many years are left on his deal. If it was a one year rental for a late round pick for not an outrageous amount then sure, sign me up.
I can see him wanting a deal of some kind from his new team though.
And if Ocho is right the whole point is moot anyway

Henry would cost just slightly more than keeping Mixon on his current deal, this season.
Pretty wild, how is Henry at picking up the blitz? I have never really focused on this part of his game. Even if he is starting to
decline a bit he would be an upgrade over Mixon and Perine with our OL improving. I just doubt the Titans are really shopping
him and we are interested. I think we are going to go youth and cut Mixon while keeping Perine around myself.
This is total fantasy football GM'ing and I like it. Let's get Henry to the Bengals in a Madden forced-like trade. Drew Sample and a 5th rounder should get it done.

This guy could likely colostomize you with a single stiff arm, yet Frank says "he's on the downswing"..

There isn’t one DH in the draft
We get him and our whole offense changes drastically
I was actually going to make a post about Henry.
If, big if, Tennessee picked up most of his salary so his cap hit for us was less than Mixon’s I would 100% trade a 2 for him. He’s probably got 2 years left in the tank. We would be extremely hard to stop and game plan against with a top 5 passing and rushing attack.
I don’t think his trade value is that high. Not many teams want a 29 year old high priced rb. Tennesse doesn’t want him and everyone knows. I wouldn’t be surprised if a 4th and 5th gets him. But id be willing to do a second for him. Our window is now and we really need to win a SB next year.
That being said. It’s not happening lol. Especially since we have Mixon under contract. We don’t typically move swiftly enough to release and trade for a player to upgrade the position.

I believe that their only motivation to trade him would be to free up cap space. Not sure that idea would fly.
I wouldn't hate a 1yr/$10.5m Derrick Henry rental if it happened, depending on the pick required, because how can you hate adding an MVP candidate? That said, his pass catching game isn't great. He did set a career high with 33 catches, the first time he reached even 20 catches... but he had 5 drops.
I still lean more towards putting that money towards OL upgrades and then drafting a younger and less expensive RB in the draft.

I see them more as rebuilding, and getting rid of an aging rb with some perceived value is a good way to start the rebuild
