I can't find any reference of that source of the tweet being with The Athletic or Yahoo Sports as their profile states. Also scroll trough their feed. Mostly retweets and I saw this gem "Trolling British people cause of soccer is so funny considering I have watched 3 soccer games in my entire life." I mean just read through the replies for that account. Here is another gem as a reply to someone "They suck you moron". Does that sound like someone that writes for a major publication like The Athletic? Sounds more like someone from this forum. haha

I'd kind of be shocked if the Bengals paid a safety 11-13 million a year. But, the Bengals have to do something. I don't know that either Hill or Anderson are ready...and we can't have Safety derail our title hopes.
As far as I can tell, Scott Shanahan is not an Athletic reporter for the Bengals. I can't find a single article published by him and the Bengals writers for the Athletic are Paul Dehner Jr and Jay Morrison.
My gut is telling me this is fake news.

I live in a fairly small area so 300 is not too shabby. But the reason I never followed up is they are probably waiting to meet me now just to laugh at me. Or maybe they think I'm a DoorDash or Uber Eats driver and I have their delivery?

Thanks for the reminder to check. Not a gift card this time but I just printed out the Blockbuster rent two get one free coupon. I think they need to sign a FA safety as well but I can't imagine signing one for close to what Bates/Bell got. Even if they can get one cheaper, how big of a difference is a couple million when taking into consideration a known commodity and locker room leader. I feel like it has to be on the cheap in order to defend not just dishing out a couple more million to bring back Bell.
I doubt the FA they bring in will be on the CGJ level. If they brought in a replacement on that level then it'll almost look like they are admitting they blew it with Bell.
