Yep - Bengal Jim shared that he had an apple for lunch or got a new IPhone and the Bengals board blew up!
Desperate for a signing. But we all got our feeling out on Apple which was good and enlightening.

Nah, Eli is still a free agent.
Don't hold it against me but I'm feeling like now that Free Agency has simmered, even with the pickup of Sid, I'd welcome Eli back for depth. I'm still uneasy about the CB position and wouldn't mind keeping Eli around. He at least knows the system and with young and new players at Safety, that knowledge can help in the meeting room at least.
He still isn't back tho for those who got excited to see this thread pop back up. Maybe it can be moved to the Free Agency sub forum.

That's where my head was at too.
Bengals still arguably need a CB4/5, but the draft is one of the best CB classes in a long time.
It's smart for the Bengals to get someone in the early rounds. Good chance to get a solid-or-better starter down the road from this group.
If they can't get a player they like without reaching, they can plan to pursue Apple after the draft.
