The owners approved the #0 for players.

Quote:The amended rule allows quarterbacks to choose from numbers 0-19; defensive backs 0-49; fullbacks, tight ends, halfbacks and wide receivers 0-49 and 80-89; linebackers 0-59 and 90-99. Offensive linemen remain relegated to 50-79, while defensive linemen can wear 50-79 and 90-99.

The amended rule also expands the numbers punters and placekickers can wear to 0-49 and 90-99, where they were previously allowed to wear 1-19.

I wonder who wears it first for the Bengals?
Darnell Washington.

This is what I thought when I first heard the rule.

If it wasn't for the Oline rule I could go with O'Cyrus Torrence or Orlando Brown.

So I'll go with Ossai

I want to see a small kicker wear 99.
First thought was Chase but then I was like "nah #1 is too hot."

I don't really like the idea of #0, so I couldn't care less.
How about double 00’s?

0 feels weird for me too.

A qb wearing it would be weird.

Maybe it would grow on me since we've never seen it before, but I doubt it.

It almost seems gross lol
Will be odd seeing a player wear 0.

Maybe a kicker for zeroing it in.
Jimmy Wazoo, punt returner extraordinaire. It'll be quiet for the first few years but Wazoo will come up the pipeline and be the first to don the legendary # 0. They'll call him "Ground Zero" because he'll be blowing up gridirons coast to coast as he takes it back to the house. We'll draft him in 2028. Canton-bound in 2045. The heartbeat of the new NFL, Jimmy Wazoo.

Aka Jimmy Wazer00000000000000
Seems like a number for a NT or a center.  "I own the 0 gap" sort of a vibe.  Or maybe it could signify "0 yards through the air" on pass attempts for a CB.
