It was 1988. I was just getting into the NFL, meaning I didn't even know what the rules were yet (football rules are hella complicated for kids lol). They were playing the Jets at home on tv and I was taken by their uniforms... then their name ("What's a bengal? That looks like a tiger")... and the clincher was the Ickey Shuffle. They had it all for me as a kid who didn't know any better. It didn't take long before I realized I was also born with loyal dna, so I stuck with them through the years. The more they lost, the more I dug in; by giving up on them I would have been giving up on myself (as crazy as that sounds). Needless to say these past few years have been fantastic.
