Nice seeing Bucky Brooks being a fan of our draft.
Brown is a good pass blocker as well. The only concern is ball security
Like hearing that Brown is good in pass pro. Definitely sounds like a Samaje replacement. Sounds like the kind of RB that gets drafted relatively late next thing you know he is rushing for 1000 yards. Really like this pick. Very smart draft so far.

Who do you like and why are they so much better than Brown? I don't know much about the RBs this late in the draft outside of a couple.

Yea...he's gonna have to work on that. 5 fumbles in 2022 is brutal.
That's a good get at RB. FO and staff are crushing it.
Chase Brown is my favorite pick of the Draft. Great pick, best pass protector at RB in this Draft, 3rd in the Nation in rushing...
To get this guy in the 5th round is a major steal. Fast too, 4.43 forty and has great balance. This guy allows us to move on from
Mixon if we have to. So happy to get Chase Brown, made the Draft for me and I really like Charlie Jones as well with his great hands
and his reliability for the future without Boyd.

Let's get him working with BJGE
Brown has some pieces in his game they need to coach him on but with that speed plus the lower body strength coming out of the backfield he is definitely a piece to punish teams sitting in 2 high.

You took the words outta my mouth. He will fit well with us

His RAS is affected by his height, but honestly I don't even see that as a bad thing for RBs. Helps them get lost behind Olinemen :).
This is my favorite part: " quickly taps into his top gear to create explosive runs (ranked No. 2 in the FBS with 48 runs of 10-plus yards in 2022) "
"inconsistent blocking reps on tape, either missing the blitzer or struggling to square and sustain." Sounds like a replacement for Mixon.

He's a very different player than Perine. He's more of a speed/shifty back with 4.43 speed vs Perine who's a bruiser who ran 4.66. I don't think he's know for blocking either.

Mixon never funbles.
Agree that ball security is a concern. He is RB2 for the moment. Hopefully it is a technique thing or happens when he gets worn down.
Lewis Riddick “ Great value” Todd McShay “ great pass blocker”
I have to say the Boy Meets World fanfic sells me on this pick more than the combine.

McShay just said he’s a tremendous pass blocker

The assessment posted above stated: "inconsistent blocking reps on tape, either missing the blitzer or struggling to square and sustain." Are we sure he is good in pass protection?

But he carried a heavier load, too. He is 205-210 or thereabouts. He is shifty, but not lightweight back.
IDK much about his pass catching.
