I hope you're right.  But understand three DB starters for the last two seasons aren't around anymore.  I don't anticipate disaster or anything but that's potentially a liability, at least early on.  When I was comparing the current roster to the 2015 one, I had to account for that.  I'd actually give the nod to the 2021 & 2022 defensive backfield over the 2015 one, but I can't honestly do the same for the current one.  I hope they eclipse the last two seasons, but that's a pretty big ask.

My overall point about the 2015 team is that it had a very complete roster, and was mentioned as probably the most complete by a few talking heads at the time.  The current team has a decided advantage at QB and that accounts for a lot, especially today.  But again, I don't think this is a 12 win team with a very good 2015 Andy Dalton at QB for 12 games, and AJ McCarron for 4.
I remember camp in Wilmington, I miss the days of the team going "off to camp". But I get I'm just an old fart.
