Don't you know, it's a NFL "STANDARD", that when players reach 30, you terminate them?
If he joins Shitsburgh, I'm fine with it.

Tampa receiver Mike Evans turned 30 last August before putting up 1,255 yards and 13 regular season TDs in 2023.
Randy Moss had 1,493 yards and 23 TDs at age 30.
Brandon Marshall 1,502 yards and 14 TDs at age 31.
Mushin Muhammad 1,405 yards and 16 TDs at age 31.
I guess that you see Mike Evans as being a CLOWN signing next year by any Team that signs him when he becomes 31 ?

Last year, they were close with Engram and Hurst, who were projected at 14m and 8.5 per year, and ended up getting 13.7 and 7.25.
But, were way off on others. Schultz was projected at 14m and got 6.25. Gesicki was projected at 11m, got 4.5. Hooper was projected at 8.5, got 2.75.

I would not be surprised if Boyd rose to the occasion and put up a 1,000 yard season in the #2 role.
My Vote is 801 to 900.
Would it be far fetched for the Bengals to use Boyd to help Bridge through a 2024 Trade of Tee ?
Still bring in a high round rookie but transition with Boyd at #2 for a while if needed ?

Just Comps of the Age being the Standard to move on from a receiver.
Players that had some of their best seasons at age 30 or older.
A different way to look at it is if Boyd turns 30 next Mid November 2024 can he put up a solid season
nearing some of the best numbers of his career like many other receivers have ?
Boyd's best seasons were 1,046 yards and 1,028 yards.
Would turning 30 mid November 2024 keep him from getting close to those career best numbers if he is a #2 ?
*By the way - TEE's best seasons are 1,091 and 1,029 yards.

We aren't talking a former All Pro who's still putting up 1000 yard seasons. We're talking about a guy 4 years removed from his last 1000 yard season who has been steadily declining.

Boyd was at 9.3 yards per target in 2022 and 8.8 yards per target in 2021.

The other big thing he brings is that he's a big threat on seam routes, which we haven't had since CJ. Having him to keep S's honest will open up more explosive plays downfield.
