I have no doubt that AJ can be this year's Jeff Hostetler, but we are going to need a backup anyways. Below are some names, fell free to add your own or chime in on these:
Jason Campbell
Ryan Mallett
Kyle Orton
Rex Grossman.
Also who was that tall former Arizona Cardinal QB we had in TC last year?
Jason Campbell would be the only who would make any sense.
I think Jason Campbell has shut down a couple of teams that have tried to coax him out of retirement. I know that he told the Colts to kick rocks.

Skelton?

Kyle Orton would be a guy who can come in a get up to speed to relatively quickly.

Thanks. John Skelton and it's been a couple years.
He recently got cut by a CFL team, so he's probably not an answer.
FWIW Troy Aikman just said h got word that Andy's injury is a season ender
It's real slim pickings out there. I can only think of Ponder, Tebow and Boyd.

On twitter they are saying season ending but possible playoff return as best case scenario. That first round bye becomes even more important.

Kyle Orton. Accurate passer/game manager.
If we go past AJ it's over anyway.
And if we get that bye it means Andy has 6 weeks to heal

Did you see Andy's face on the sideline? That giant cast and his face are all you needed to know.
I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in Orton.
Ponder is off the market...he was picked up by Denver
We do have Keith Wenning on the practice squad

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

I seen same thing on site Roto something. I dismissed it,but now
*edit* Adam schefter
For all of his success this season, there's a real chance we're not going to see whether Bengals' QB Andy Dalton can win in the postseason.
5:45pm - 13 Dec 15

And be rusty as hell if and when he gets back.... we're riding McCarron the rest of the way, and personally I think it could be a lot worse. I'll take AJ over any of the names on that list. He got zero reps this week with the starters and still threw 2 touchdowns.
Out for the season just means 3 weeks
When they put him on IR we can worry

Actually the Broncos just cut Ponder and Wenning is the reason for the thread.
What ever happened to LaFeaver(sp)?
