Give Yoshi enough targets and also Burrow stop throwing above and behind him - he'll be fine. Burrow's accuracy is still off.

He threw a dime to Burton. He hit Gesicki right and the numbers and he dropped an easy first down and more, next play sack and drive dead. He hit Irwin on the run in the endzone in his face mask.

The huge Yoshi play was a tough catch, but pro WR's need to make tough catches.

None of which has anything to do with the throws to Yoshi constantly being either or both of high and behind. Yoshi is still learning; give him some easier catches.

lol, this is the NFL. Easy catches? Get out of here with that. That 3rd and 6 is about as easy of a catch in that situation you can ask for. Was it a perfect throw? No. But was it catchable? Yes, very.

Yep absolutely don’t need a slot. Probably numbering the 22 positions of need it’d be near the bottom with Burrow and Trey and Chase. They will use Gesicki in the Redzone in the slot and Isovias. And outside the 20’S Chase will a lot. It’d be a total waste of money.At DT they’ll get some guys back hopefully

Isovias is going to be great. Gesicki a phenomenal Redzone guy

He played less than 20% of his snaps in the slot in college.   8% of his snaps were in the slot last year and 32% thus far this season.  Not sure I'd call him a slot receiver just yet.

I think he has potential, BUT, he has not shown much in between the 20's.  His big plays last season were in the red zone on extended plays much like Sunday.  

I dont care where they line him up, he needs to produce during drives, not just in goal line.

I actually prefer Chase in the slot with Tee wide one side with Yoshi & Burton splitting time on the other side, until Burton is ready to take over.

This is the route I would take as well. Chase and Sizzle in the slot Sizzle had a really good catch % in college and Chase has good hands. Both are better options then Yoshi at this point to pick up a must have 3rd down catch. Yoshi and Burrow timing seems to be off with Yoshi in the slot. We are missing the back shoulder plays Yoshi and Tee gave us last year up the sidelines.

Sooner, I respect your opinions and most your takes. Iosivas has shown nothing to assume he will be great. Sure, he is athletic as all get out and works really hard. Those two things alone doesn’t make someone eventually be great. I’m hoping he can become a consistent contributor during drives.

Jermaine Burton has shown me more in 2 games than Iosivas has in 1+ years.

If Iosivas can become a Marquez Valdez Scandling… that would be amazing. And no one thinks MVS is great.

I just don’t see Iosivas being the guy that is willing to go over the middle time and time again knowing you’re going to have to make tough contested catches. When you think of bengals great slot receiver seasons (TJ, Boyd)… I just don’t see that coming from Iosivas. I will happily be wrong here, but I just don’t see the skill set that translates to NFL success here.

Chase in the slot is dangerous, but it does take a little pressure off the defense from going over the top.

Burton has got to be close. He is so clearly better than everyone not named Chase/higgins.

Were not trading kyle Hamilton ( who actually is the best slot corner in the NFL).

Hilton is being taking off the field on third downs now and is clearly not in the future plans of the Bengals. Dax can fill in at Nickle and Turner is capable of filling in for Dax.

If you can get a player the caliber of Milton Williams for Hilton. You do it!

They just need Tee in there with Chase. That is the only realistic big boost that can happen in the receiving game this year. Next offseason go for a better 'slot' option if one is available or by draft.

Great may be a stretch but he’s going to play in this league a long time. Burton will if it sinks in what it takes to be successful AND STAY SUCCESFULL

True Slot WR… really missing Tyler Boyd.  3rd and 6, need a reliable set of hands.  Iosivas and Irwin are not it, especially without Higgins, and not sure Burton is at this point.  

Hunter Renfrow is a free agent. 74% catch rate, Tyler Boyd was 68%.  After our WR, not named Chase, just caught 33% of their targets, something has got to give.

Edge help… bengals got good pressure yesterday, but we need someone else that can bring some heat.  Maybe ossai continues to develop and Myles can bring something to the table, but Yannick Nguake is out there and can be a force. Last year was not as good as his career averages, but I would think he can help.

Cut KJ Henry?

DT help… depending on severity of the injuries, we might see some
Roster movement to IR.  Not sure who would be best, but imminent help is likely needed.

Bengals need a DT somethin fierce with all the injuries.
Renfrow was a solid slot for a few years but he kinda fell off. He's also gonna turn 29 years old later this year.
But he still might be a better slot than Iosivas, who might be better backing up Higgins.

We obviously would not trade Hilton, but Im not sure how close he is to the top of the NCB group today.  I'd be slightly surprised if we extend him next year.

Not sure who’s Wheaties he pissed in, but figure it out. If there is a Tee replacement on this roster, next year, it’s Burton. If there is a 600+ yard 3rd receiver on this team, it’s most likely Burton.

Burton hasn't learned the playbook yet. It was mentioned during the broadcast. I suppose now the announcers are ALL singling out poor, young, Burton to pick on. That's HS! He still hasn't learned how to get open on any route except for the 9.

Meanwhile, back at band camp they're singing hate songs about the only dude that is scoring tuds.... Same folks that are still hating on Jessie Bates for getting his bag and helping ATL win football games. 

It's something that folks are spinning their wheels worried about the WR corps. I'm much more concerned with IDL at this point.

And IOL. They still have major issues giving JB the time to go thru any progressions on sure passing downs and I'm talking 3rd and 5 and not 3rd and 9.I know teams lick their chops when they get teams in passing sItuations but the protection he gets is miniscule compared to what I see in the NFL. Much easier to step up in the pocket if the pressure is coming from the outside versus interior.
