The only difference maker on defense is a one trick pony. The top WRs are really good. Iosivas is pretty good in the red zone. Moss is an NFL RB. We have Joe Burrow, and what appears to be an average line.
But I agree with your overall point. I think the coaching staff could be seriously upgraded.
The running game looked good Monday. 6.2 ypc with a decent amount of carries. I will take that. Burrows stat line along with that rushing game should be a W. This one is on the defense.
Call Bill Belichick. He’ll fix this defense.

When people say this roster is too talented they’re basically talking about 3-4 players. Burrow, Chase, Trey, Orlando. After that who are these super talented players? Logan Wilson? Good, not great. CTB? Probably should be a CB2. Mims maybe at some point, but obviously not yet. Erick All has the potential to be really good, but again, he’s a rookie playing a tough position.
Bates and Reader were both top 5 players on the teams that made those deep playoff runs. The talent level took a massive drop off without them.

I totally agree with what you're saying. I just can't get too worked up about Reader not being brought back. He's aging, was always injured, and still hasn't played for Detroit. Not having a suitable replacement for him?... That's a different story.
