Brown family won't be made to do anything they don't want to do. Glad he cares, but if Burrow needs to be the one to say something is wrong, then something is very worng.

Nothing will change from the way the Browns/Blackburns run this team. They simply don't put winning SB's as top priority. It is easy to see. Look at all the head coaches, coaching staffs, players that have worked here and all failed to win a SB for whatever reason and the only fact that remained the same is this front office and their way of doing things which simply does not work. Hard to believe they have ruined a fairly solid team from 2-3 years ago to what is on the field now but they have done it. Stubborn front office refusing to adapt, terrible draft choices, below average coaches, unable to develop rookies, a head coach trying to do too much and his refusal to develop a run game and being far too predictable, letting top quality players walk, it all adds up to failure.

At times it looks like opposing D's know our offensive scheme better than our own players do.

Yeah I didn't think there was anything noteworthy in what he said. Playoff chances are gone. Gotta just play and try to develop.

Well that’s good cause we’re there again. Probably gonna win 5 games with a 4th place schedule, a healthy Joe Burrow playing like an MVP, and Chase possibly winning a triple crown.

They should be spending like drunken sailors this offseason.

But they won't and we all know it. It's the Mike Brown way, unfortunately.  Money in the bank, good. Competitive team on the field, maybe. I will be very surprised if any coaches are gone by next year if under contract.  

They may spend but on whom and who will be coaching them??  

I remember in, what 1978 or 79 when Paul Brown hired Forrest Gregg to coach the Bengals, that some of the players said " the party is over."  And by 1980 they were in the Superbowl and really should have won it.  Gregg showed up and instilled a winning culture into the Bengals. Don't remember the roster but he coached them up, I believe.

I agree that at least one coordinator needs to go, Anarumo for sure. I'm willing to give Pitcher a pass as the passing game has been strong all year. The changes needed on offense have more to do with a change in mindset from Zac Taylor than anything. He has to respect the power of using a rushing attack and the value of having tough people movers on the inside of the OL. A change in OL coach would provide great cover for Taylor to change his philosophy without having to blatantly admit that he's been wrong.

2 new guards for example Teven Jenkins and James Daniels and I think we'd be much better off. I would still draft an OL within the first 3 rounds tho as we need depth. This would allow us to run the ball more effectively and potentially be even more explosive. Replacing Pollack with a new scheme and someone who can actually COACH would be the first priority tho.

Who the hell knows...I just know I'm skeptical Mike Brown is going to let one of his temporary employees make major decisions for a business he's had in his family for 56 years and is planning to have in his family until the sun explodes.  Add in the fact that he shouldn't need anyone to tell him that our oline and defense are absolute crap and letting Tee walk for a conditional 17th round pick isn't likely to be the best path to fixing it.

Yes sir. You and I were both on the Creed train back then. I didn't hate the Carman pick at the time because of his upside but I 
didn't know he had no passion for the game to be good.

Pollack used to be an OL in the NFL, but yeah, that would be nice. I hate how soft our players are.

We need to get back to being just as physical as the rest of the Division. Sure, we hit hard but we don't wrap up so it doesn't matter.

Just said they should communicate with him on some stuff to keep him happy is all.

That makes sense, we can agree on that.  Unfortunately, if Burrow wanted to work for an owner who gave a rat's arse about what his players say/ask for/want he really picked a hard mode by staying here.

Another question is IF things don't change enough are people going to say that Burrow is partially to blame for not using his leverage to force MB and company to get with the program?

I doubt Joe even talks to Mikey Boy much. I still think people are thinking that MB runs everything. I don't think that is the case anymore.

At least I sure hope so, as another poster said, we simply do not know what goes on.

Maybe I'm taking an overly simplistic view, but either MB still runs things or he's allocated tasks to people who run things the way he runs things.  Hell, if he's 89 we have a better chance of getting change if he still has an iron grip on this franchise and the rest of his family is dying to NOT go skiing at the trade deadline but he insists they do.

They were banned from sale in the 80's I believe. Now you really only find them at antique malls for around 100 bucks, or you luck out at a garage sale and get them for under 20.

If they are not at least drawing blood, you are doing it wrong...

Glad we all made it through that childhood with both eyes, especially when you consider the bottle rocket wars!

Well, weather you are talking about being reckless with lawn darts, or explosives, or just riding a motorcycle or driving like a maniac or eating glass...someone has to get hurt or killed every now and then or else it isn't fun and cool.  I try to avoid that stuff, mostly because I never had the feelings of self-esteem required to not see myself as being the one lying injured or dead.

I'm 42 and from rural-ish PA and I can't be the only one here who knows a handful of dudes who got cars at 16 and drove them like maniacs and crashed cars and some died and some walked away, some crashed more cars, and some walked away but their passengers/girlfriends died.  There was a guy who was almost an urban legend because he managed to keep getting girlfriends who would agree to let him drive and he actually managed to get up to 3 of them killed by the time he was 22 or so.  Dude must have had a magic dick to go with his lead foot and 9 lives.

Anyways, what the hell were we talking about here?
