I do "talk" to a girl from up there that I met in college (she was somehow related to Bill Belichick or Robert Kraft, I forget) and people up there don't seem too impressed with him.

He did seem to be good with the defensive line and center of the defense, which is a big weakness for us because, even in today's passing era, we still need to be able to stop the run.

They probably are impressed with how he held the high octave Bengals Offense to 10.

That’s funny I was thinking recently that this place is more toxic. That’s more of a knock on half the posters (mainly game day thread) because there are a lot of good posters on here.

Zim posted a screenshot saying that the Rooney rule was expanded in 2022 to require 2 minorities for coordinator positions as well.

His Defense did a good job against burrow and company

You are correct, the Rooney rule does require 2 minority candidates for coordinators.

I guess getting an absolute top shelf DC was asking too much...

Well these guys are available right now....  Gotta wait for some better candidates
who?

Thread merged to conserve server space and alleviate redundancy..

Fine. I did not see the older thread.
So far this is highly disappointing. Basically dumpster diving on a coach level.
From a Pats fan:

Covington was handed a top ten defense and got a healthy Gonzales to add to his roster.

He turned it into a bottom 5 defense, despite only 1 major injury to a MLB Bentley.

They could not maintain rush gaps, they could not stop the run, they got shredded multiple times. Covington cannot design a defense period. Good luck and good riddance.

I thought the exact same thing after seeing the Raiders Defensive numbers this Graham guy has.

Pass. Bring in Eberflus or Dennis Allen next please...

Is Barry Gibb our new OC?  Ninja

That's a dumb Pats fan because they literally lost their best player in Christian Baramore.
These guys aren’t big names and don’t bring much excitement when you look at their teams stats but who knows?
The Bengals “assistant GM” Trey Brown may get a GM job with another team yet everybody on here thinks the FO sucks (although it is the Jets)
They gotta stop interviewing mofos just to check a box

Just hire who you wanna hire. This shit far more disrespectful

But he would threaten ZT, so we won't do that  unfortunately.

Can you explain your thinking ? i don;t see him as any threat, hell if he accepts the job, im sure he hopes ZT stays or he probably will be out of a job again
Nice to see we are already interviewing just 24 hours with the changes... the more the better

I actually agree with you Essex. This doesn't hurt.

Most of the opinions that I've read range from "Rooney Rule interview" to "Bengals leaving no stone unturned by interviewing everyone available NOW".
