It says him may miss the START of the season, not the whole year.

So lets use a 2nd or 3rd for him?

Cool, still would want to draft Jihad somewhat early then. Like Yogo said, maybe a 2nd or a 3rd and I would do it. This should make him fall
out of the first round at the very least as he wouldn't be able to participate in any practices until he was healthy after the start of the season.
Damn good player though, he is like 3 positions in one, covers like a Safety, tackles like a LB and rushes the passer like an End.
No Soup? Damn. I love soup.

Right, but I feel like we've read this script before with our first round picks. No offseason, no training camp, no preseason. How much will he really help in 2025?

Nothing better than Campbells Tomato soup!!
Unfortunate for him. IMO he is the best all around LB in this draft. But labrum tears among LBs in the combine is common. So it depends on the severity and which specific shoulder - or is it both shoulders?
For his position, a torn labrum is 8-10 months at least. He can re-damage it with with a high impact tackle (tackling Derrick Henry)
I view this as almost a lost season for him. So no earlier than a 3rd rounder - 4th round would be ideal. Maybe get him on the field later in the year on passing plays, and bring him along slowly.
