I'm not having champagne wishes and Worls Series dreams just yet. I'm hoping for having a reason to watch in August. The most likely real key is can our pitching hang in there?

If it does....we have a chance of at least being competitive. For how long ???

Again, agreed. It's all about the pitchers, their health, and the depth to sustain winning ball.
Reds beat Cardinals 3-1 tonight. Keep it up.
A lot to like about tonight even in a 3-1 game. Several good plays on defense. Martinez with 6 solid innings and 1st win. Marte and Lux staying smoking hot. McLain with a hit and stolen base. Elly kept hitting streak going.

Singer tomorrow lets keep it going
Now 5-3 in the division with a strong victory from their weakest starter.

They're playing great baseball right now.
Big Win....getting opener of 4 game series with Division Rival St Louis Cardinals....and Win 16 still in April.

As everybody keeps saying. Keep it up. Keep it going. GO REDS.
It would be nice to see Singer get win number 5 tonight. That's a heck of a start to a season.

Possible blessing in disguise for the bullpen? They're not tired right now, but they're pretty fresh going into a 13 game/12 day stretch
Day off
@ Colorado - Gibaut, Ashcraft, Rogers, Santillan and Pagan with one inning each - was supposed to kick off 17 games in 17 days before today's rainout.
@ Colorado - Barlow, Diaz and Pagan with one inning each
@ Colorado - Richardson and Suter with one inning each - Lodolo's seven innings spares the pen.
one vs St Louis - Ashcraft, Santillan and Pagan all had one inning.
rainout - the top three main relievers get a day of rest and the rest of the pen has at least two days rest, Barlow, Diaz have three days and Rogers has four.

If no more postponed games, three games in 26-28 hours to start a stretch of 13 games in 12 days.
3 vs St Louis 12-17 - 3-7 in their last 10 - 2-12 on the road
3 vs Washington  13-17 - 5-5 in their last 10 - 4-10 on the road
4 @ Atlanta 13-15 - 8-2 in their last 10 - 8-3 at home
3 @ Houston 15-13 - 7-3 in their last 10 - 10-6 at home - back to back series vs teams that used to be division opponents in the old NL West

And speaking of division opponents, I love the scheduling for the close of the regular season for the Reds . . . the final 13 games are all divisional games. I think that MLB should follow the NFL's lead and make everyone's schedule like this at the end of the season.
3 @ St Louis
4 vs Chicago
3 vs Pittsburgh
3 @ Milwaukee
It could be an exciting finish to the season!
