Rahj Brooks a 5-9, 214, RB from Texas Tech had 2 1500-yard seasons. He was among the fastest RBs in the shuttle run, I could see him competing for KR/PR
It was a loaded RB class so I was expecting them to draft one at some point. Don't know much about him so I'll just trust the coaches on this one.
He is being described as a grinder with little second level explosive speed. Looks like a ST player or practice squad. Decent pick for the 6th round.
He must have slimmed down for the draft process

Brooks is Texas Tech's all-time leading rusher, and the third Big 12 player in history to rush for more than 1,500 yards in consecutive seasons. He is a patient between-the-tackles runner with the strength to break tackles. He ran the fourth-quickest short shuttle regardless of position at the combine -- his quick feet show up on tape. Brooks makes defenders miss in the hole and in space. He doesn't straight blow by defenders, but he tested well at the combine. He catches the ball well and makes plays after the catch. -- Steve Muench
I noticed a C on his jersey so not surprised they took him. Looks like a solid late round pick who could end up making the team.

It is a loaded class so glad we got 1 of them. I think a lot of these RB would have 3rd or 4th round grades in most drafts.

They do like work ethic and leadership qualities.
Great pick. I wanted him or Skattebo for our power back.
He's up my alley. I was big on Martinez but Brooks looks a lot more complete out of the gate.

He dropped like 15-20 lbs.
I was worried all the RBs I had looked at and liked were gone.
I didn't spend any time looking into Tahj Brooks until now. Damn. I'm excited. He is built like a NFL RB. He is a bowling ball with jukes and vision and burst. Love it.
He's like a thicker Gio Bernard, I love the pick.
This guy will get snaps and is going to be the best player in this class
I wanted a RB in this Draft big time and was surprised Tahj was even around. I kept seeing Lequint Allen's name up on the board and
assumed Tahj had been gone a round or two before. As much as I liked Allen, I liked Tahj Brooks even more and think he could be even
better than Chase Brown and that is saying something. My favorite pick of the Draft honestly.
This guy can do it all, bowling ball that has great burst, balance, hands, hard as heck to tackle and is decent in pass pro.

This was a good pick. A sleeper. He was linked to the Bengals pre draft.

He played at 230lbs last season

Physical back that is for sure, with great burst. Not a bad thing trimming down before the draft either.
Tahj Brooks cutback ability is new to our RB room.
