I remember when Rudi got vocal about it. He made a comment about how we won whenever he had X amount of touches. Which was true. But it wasn't like we only won when he had X amount of touches.

Rudi apparently didn't realize that correlation doesn't always imply causation. 

Teams run the ball more when they're ahead, which makes it appear as if a RB getting 20+ touches causes a team to be more successful. Really, the increased touches are often more of a byproduct of success.

Yep.  He got pretty testy one year during contract negotiations and even threatened to hold out.
