Has anyone tried this. They also have one in Louisville and I'm considering booking a game for a work team builder.

Quote:Each Breakout Game is a real‑life escape room adventure for a small group. Work together as a team to escape the room before time runs out. It's great for groups of friends, family, or coworkers. You'll solve puzzles, crack codes, find hidden items, and more in order to escape. You have one goal: escape the room in under one hour.

These escape rooms have popped up everywhere in the last few years. I still cant tell if this new genre of entertainment is like the pet rock or it actually has long term staying power. Im guessing it will constantly need to be tweaked and added on to or the people will eventually become bored. Time will tell
My brother has been an investor in one for a few years now in toledo and columbus called trapped. He swears by it but I have yet to try it out although Id like to

Sounds like someone took an idea from the Saw franchise and made some monies off of it.

There's a whole series of online flash games from the early 2000's called "escape the _____" that are basically what this is. Their gameplay is similar to point and click games and you're tasked with searching for clues and solving puzzles to escape a room/car/phonebooth whatever.
My friends and I were thinking about trying one of these later this year in DC.

My wife did one on a girls night (bachelerette party) not to long ago and said she had a blast.
You get like 60 minutes to find clues and open 3 doors..
I saw this on a The Big Bang Theory episode recently.

Lol, I saw that one. It took them something like 30 seconds to figure it out when it should have taken like an hour or around there.
I think it would be fun.
I did one based on a casino last Friday. We were literally on the last clue of figuring out the door code to open the door and get out when the time ran out. It was fun. And I think they have a built in return customer gimmick. If you didnt get out, you are dying to go back and try again. If you do get out, you want to go again to see if you just got lucky, or if you really are as smart as you think you are.
People at work and some of my friends have done them and really liked it. It seems pretty cool.
I live in the West so there aren't any locations near me. Sounds fun tho! Would be interested in trying it if I was in the area.
