Sherman is a smart man...being Stanford educated and all.
Sherman might look like a thug based on how he throws tantrums but he's a smart person. The players know that these guys are passionate about the game. However, the fans cry wolf and the media and it just derails a team. Ridiculous.

Sherman is very smart.
I just think it is disingenuous of him when he affects his "street thug" identity. At times he acts offended that a Stanford-educated African American like himself is treated like a street thug while still using his "street voice" when he wants some "street cred".
A lot of thugs are intelligent.

I work in the criminal justice system.
Most violent criminals are not very smart. Some are intelligent, but compared to the general population most are not as smart.

Will agree most are not. But there still many who are. The founder of KKK was a judge The founders of Black Panthers is well educated as well.
There are many examples. Plus even though I do not work in criminal justice system. Grew up with many thugs, some are quite bright.
Never once said that all were.
Almost all NFL players who turn violent outside the lines have been educated too.
