The man was pure musical genius

Died way before his time!
I onloy have one James Brown CD and I don't listen to it much, BUt I am ahuge fan of his style. I have seen Bootsy collins live multiple times, and right now the CD I listen to the most is Maceo Parker's "Roots and Grooves" (CD 2)

Did he just pass away?  I thought he'd been gone for a while?

I'm not sure.  He was fantastic though.  This song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6iSL1dsShc&list=PLdVuwnkfjI0rVuvmbqhj8eXmcPcP59nY3&index=3 never gets old to me.
"Good Gawd, y'all!!"
