Saw on ESPN yesterday that he died in 2016. Not sure if it was recent. He was a staple for college football and will be missed. I had not heard anything about this prior to the coverage.
Saunders was awesome. There are few awesome people left at that shit network.

I started a thread about it as soon as I saw the news on August 10. If I'm not mistaken, he passed two days prior but the announcement was delayed.
I started it in Klotsch instead of here as I felt that the news would reach more individuals there since the season was still several weeks out.

RIP. He was a pro's pro.
Is there something in the water at ESPN? One after another, they keep dying from cancer. Very sad.

Was it cancer?
I never heard officially what happened.
From what I read he had felt bad for a few days, but kept telling his family there was no need to see a doctor, then died in his sleep.
Thanks for the update. I liked him and the other guy on ABC for years that did college football. Both are now gone. RIP
