Moving the ball forward to buy the punter as much room as possible when deep in your own end is part of the 60 minute chess game.

People constantly criticize Marvin and say "Bill would have..." but the fact is he views the game the same way.  Prepare for the next drive while aiding your special teams by getting the punter off of the back line of the end zone.
