Enough excuses. He's a huge liability (a la Brad St. Louis). Anybody at this point is a huge upgrade. Time for his defenders to take off their scarlet and gray glasses and realize he's done
Yeah, the dude is bad. He was barely sneaking in the XP's as well.

Gotta give Nuge a lot of props after last night. I'm probably the biggest Nuge hater on this board but he made me a believer after nailing 5 FG's and getting us the win. Keep shutting me up Nuge  ThumbsUp

^ that was your post after the dolphins game.
Agreed.

Erickson is the only BIGGER liability.

That dude is AWFULLLLLLLLL

And?? Dude had a good game then but has been pure s*** since. He's as inconsistent as Brad St. Louis. To hell with him, buckeye or not

Kicked 11 of 13 since then for 84.6%

EDIT: Fed up my math there. 10 of 13 for 76.9%
Won't happen. Next topic.
Pat you need to apply for a spot on the staff. Your talents are wasted in this forum!
Could be worse, we could have kept Josh Brown
Get 'em out
I bet Ocho would be better than that bum Nugent
Vinatieri breaks record for most consecutive FGs in a row in a game Nuge misses two, xD. Dude is gonna kill us in any future playoff appearance.
That first miss did swing the momentum greatly for awhile.
He was 87% accurate before today. That's middle of the pack:

http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/kicking/sort/fieldGoalPct

Today he went 1 for 3 which brings his overall percentage down to 78%. That puts him in the bottom 3rd of NFL Kickers. That's replaceable folks. No two ways about it.

Can he be blamed for that one though?  The wind blasted it shortly before the uprights.
He's well below AVERAGE from 50 and beyond, too.

What are Vinatieri's excuses for hitting 43 or whatever in a row? Wind helped him every time?

Don't face much wind with a minimum of eight games a year in a dome... (which is exactly why he left NE for Indy).

He is also a first ballot HOFer in my book and directly responsible for the Pats first 3 championships.

Dude. What is exactly avg from 50 and beyond?

I alreayd looked up the stats a couple weeks ago when I was calling for Nuge to be gone, he is well below average against the rest of te league. He's in the 30-40% IIRC. Basically untrustworthy, it showed today and they weren't even 50s.
